I love the energy and excitement of a new client relationship. The anticipation of getting to know one another and learning together, it’s exhilarating. Until the client asks: “So when we update our online content, we’ll be able to double our bottom line, right?”
Whoa. And I can sprinkle happy dust on the grouches of the world!
I am amazed how many business people think quality online content will miraculously increase customers and revenue. So, I thought I would make a quick list of what content – totally awesome “content is king” content – can really do for your business.
Online Content Can

Online Content Cannot
- Close a sale without a call to action and follow up plan
- Guarantee increased revenues
- Increase prospects without a tool to collect readers’ contact information
- Be the end all, be all, answer to achieving business growth goals
- Increase website traffic without consistent posting and implementing search engine ranking strategies
