The next time your mind goes blank and the computer screen (or notepad!) remains wordless, just follow a writing formula to get going.

You can find dozens of writing formulas to follow.  But I thought I’d make up one and share it with you.  Here’s the TSTBSLLC (TST Business Strategies, LLC) secret to finding the first word.

Talk and listen to your cult followers: employees, advisors, customers, vendors, industry leaders, etc.

Search online to review other writers’ perspective on your topic

Track at least 3 months’ of content by creating a content calendar for your blogs, newsletters, social media and special events

Begin writing blog and newsletter articles.

Sleep on it, then re-read and edit for clarity, grammar and voice.

List social media channels for repurposing the content.

Log in to HootSuite and schedule a week or two of automated posting.

Chillax (chill out and relax) for a minute or two and then return to running your company!
